This is my first idea, simple clip board (kind of like signing you up to adopt a child (child sponsorship)) with a child on the side and dot points which has pictures of poverty stricken children on it when you roll over the dot... however roll overs are not meant to be used in this project so that won't work well.... i think it is too simple and it looks too messy and i don't really like it.... i like the simplicity but it just seems like there's something missing and doesn't look like a website

Here are the picutres i manipulated on photoshop which creates the banners and navigational tool bars etc in the interface:

Here is the final product that i have come up with:

I like the final design because it is neat, it's simple and it gets the message of "save those less fortunate" accross, it has simple navigation, it's not too crowded... and i like the colour scheme as it fits in with the theme

These are my final pieces for my self portrait...i thought the sceneray one was too plain so i added my face to the sky... i took away the lightening as i think it draws the attention of the audience to much and makes the overall design look messy...
The central idea of this piece is to convey the sense of confusion and being lost. This is more of a “feeling” piece.
It can be objective wether the bottles are floating towards or away from the horizon.
If the audience sees the bottles floating towards the horizon, I am showing that I have many different personalities that I am just discovering and/or still discovering which is conveyed through the multiple bottles floating lost and randomly in the sea all in one direction towards my face in the sky.
If the audience sees the bottles floating away from the horizon, I am showing that all these bottles (has my face trapped within the bottles) represents little bits of myself. They are all leaving the sunlight (my face in the sky- representing me in general). The little images of myself in the bottles are what I thought I knew about myself but now I am discovering more about myself which makes it all very complicated and scary. The scary hand (in the left hand side) is reaching out to grab me and take me to a different way instead of leading me to where I want to go.
The colours I used are meant to create a type of unsettled sense of serenity (which is very ironic). The waves create a sense of chaos, uncomfort and tension which adds to the overall design of confusion. The red sky emphasises anger and discontentment with life. My vacant expression in the background just shows that through innocent looking eyes, everything is not as normal and simple as the exterior presents.
I like the effect the "invert" function gives... makes it look more...sterile

Here are some developmental work... basically..trying out different types of fonts...
i don't really like the last one...i think the photoframe doesn't suit and does not blend in properly. I like the framing in the other ones better... the layout is cut into quarters but Naomi suggested to have it cut into thirds instead to make it more effective.... The font is not very legible in the third one... so have to find a font that is legible and suitable...
this postcard is full of irony.... where the fancy section of the picture contains "when there's so much suffering in the world" with bits of pink ..... and the dull poverty photo has crazy writing saying "don't waste money on trivial things.."

I just manipulated one of the dog pictures...using Gradient map and highlighting the doggie accessories to emphisis the triviality of it...when there are better uses for the money then a little crown for a dog...

This is a refinement of my idea... kind of an irony. The text says "why waste money on trivial things...when tehre is so much suffering in the world"... Poverty stricken child vs nicely dressed dog.

Here are some pictures of some pampered pooches that i can use in my political postcard design... sense of irony... maybe add a few more accessories on the dogs and then put a sign saying "save the world from poverty"... or maybe have the dog drink out of a mount franklin bottle and have a povery stricken child drink out of a dirty pond...
